Plenty of Power to Play
400 Series EFI Engine
Previously known as the BLAST M 4000, the M 400 is equipped with a 397cc single-cylinder 2-stroke engine with 65-class horsepower and electronic fuel injection (EFI). It offers quicker, more responsive power that gives you a smoother take off every time.
397cc, Liquid-Cooled, 2-Stroke EFI Engine with 65+HP
With an industry-first design that’s compact and lightweight, this EFI engine brings 65-hp and 397cc performance to every ride, all while remaining under 50 lbs. A 3-stage exhaust valve system takes this power to the next level, delivering improved throttle response and better overall engine performance. As a liquid-cooled engine, it thrives in low-snow conditions – and a counter balance shaft eliminates most engine vibration. The result—a lightweight-but-mighty power source that fuels a ride like no other.
Unmatched Control
Alpha One Single-Beam Rear Suspension
ALPHA ONE Suspension is the only single-beam rear suspension in the industry, providing enhanced agility on the mountain. The lightweight, single-beam design provides nimble action, allowing riders to maneuver the sled and carve tighter circles with less effort than conventional, dual-rail snowmobiles.
Single-Beam Rear Rail
ALPHA ONE Single-Beam Rear Suspension is the first rear suspension of its kind. The shift from two rails to one creates a single pivot point down the middle of its Power Claw track, so you can carve up the mountain with ease. With an extruded aluminum construction and magnesium attachment points, this light, lean and mean design gives you enhanced control and agility.
Starts Light, Stays Light
ALPHA ONE snowmobiles make lightweight performance the standard. The single rail sheds snow, where dual-rail suspensions trap it in the skidframe. On top of this, the skid system equalizes floatation across the width of the track, so you'll sink less and keep moving throughout the day.
More Maneuverability
With a single pivot point, the snowmobile leans and dips into every curve like it's second nature. Even with a longer track, your sled can handle tigher turns in technical situations compared to short-track, dual-rail snowmobiles. Unmatched maneuverability will unlock limitless possibilities.
Proven Suspension
Arctic Mountain Suspension
The Arctic Mountain Suspension (AMS) is built specifically to navigate through deep snow. With lightweight spindles and precision-engineered suspension geometry designed with mountain riding in mind, AMS optimizes your performance in deep snow.
Arctic Mountain Suspension
AMS is our proven, lightweight rear suspension system utilized on all of our full-size mountain sleds. This system keeps the sled nimble in the varying snow conditions of the backcountry and provides optimal off-trail cornering, as well as more predictable counter steering when side-hilling. Paired with front and back hydraulic twin tube shocks, AMS provides excellent bump absorption. Plus, the lightweight, forged-aluminum spindles sit at a 27 degree spindle caster angle, providing optimal ski camber for off-trail cornering and more predictable counter-steering when side-hilling. They’re built to reduce drag, while the durable dual-phase alloy-steel A-arms are tailor-made to maneuver in deep snow.
Smooth Power Delivery
Arctic Drive System
The durable Arctic Drive System has a CVTech Trailbloc drive clutch and CVTech Invance driven clutch to deliver power to the snow. It also provides more low-end power and throttle control, which is needed when navigating deep snow.
Light and Nimble
Mid-Size Chassis
The mid-sized BLAST chassis is extremely lightweight, making it agile and easy to handle, no matter your skill level. With a lightweight mountain seat and a short tank, this sled makes transferring weight while cornering effortless.
Easier Steering
G2 Proclimb Skis
The lightweight G2 ProClimb™™ 7-inch Mountain Ski is tapered to stay on top of the snow. The ski works in tandem with the AMS spindles for easier steering and better deep snow performance.
Reliable Traction
Challenger Track
The Challenger 146-inch track with 2-in lug offers the traction needed to conquer varying backcountry conditions. Its benchmark lug design is versatile for all-around performance and features a saw-tooth lug for additional grip on hard, wind-blown and springtime snow.
Ready to Go
Turn-Key Electric Start
Simply sit down and take off. The M 400 features a turn-key electric start, so there's no need to pull-start this mountain sled.
