A New Breed of Power
858 Engine
The 858 two-stroke engine is designed for seamless integration into the new CATALYST platform. With an 8% increase in displacement, this engine houses an 11% increase in output over the C-TEC2 800 and weighs 4% less. It features an optimized air intake system, a new exhaust valve design for more consistent power and cleaner emissions, and an all-new crankcase for increased stroke and integrated engine mounts.
Peak Performance Unlocked
Catalyst Chassis
The revolutionary CATALYST platform has been built from the ground up to optimize every aspect of your ride, so much so that you’ll feel at one with the sled. With enhanced ergonomics, a lower center of gravity, our exclusive laydown engine design, specially calibrated suspension and more, this changes everything.
Speed, Power And Agility
The CATALYST™ platform transformed the experience of mountain, trail and crossover riders alike. Now with the refined 858 engine, you can push the limits even further with bigger power, smoother performance and the industry’s easiest-to-ride package.
Purpose-Built
Based on decades of innovation, the 858 engine was built by Arctic Cat for Arctic Cat. Designed specifically for the CATALYST platform, the 858's proprietary design enhances power, agility and control. From working around the centerline steering to integrating components for weight reduction and increased performance, no compromises were made in pursuit of the ultimate ride.
Peak Performance
The 858cc engine provides all the horsepower and airflow you need for superior performance. A refined air intake system improves sealing at the lower airbox, reducing snow intrusion and maximizing consistency. Multiple under-hood inlets prevent snow ingestion, while our patented exhaust valve design stays tight to the piston as it moves. This delivers smoother exhaust flow through a wider RPM range on both primary and auxiliary ports — and cleaner emissions in all conditions.
Quicker Acceleration
Compared to Arctic Cat’s 794cc engine, the 858 delivers 11% more power and torque — and in a package that’s 4% lighter. This gives you an optimal power-to-weight ratio for quicker acceleration and a more responsive, pulse-pounding ride. Arctic Cat used an 85mm bore while increasing to a 75.6mm stroke to achieve more horsepower and deep, bottomless torque that pulls hard and smoothly through the entire RPM range. In MY26, recalibrated fueling and ignition enhance response across more of that range, making every squeeze of the throttle feel even more connected.
Greater Agility
The centralized mass and low center of gravity work with the CATALYST platform to provide precision and control unlike anything you’ve experienced. The innovative laydown engine design achieves the best mass centralization of any snowmobile on the market while staying lightweight and compact. And with updated engine mounting in MY26, vibration is further reduced — boosting rider confidence and comfort mile after mile.
Easy Maintenance
The CATALYST platform was designed to be durable and easy to service, and the 858 engine is no exception. With fewer parts, a revised crankcase mounting system, it’s stronger, sturdier and easier to maintain. With the easily removable, completely tool-less plastic panels on CATALYST snowmobiles, you can quickly access critical components to admire the beauty beneath the surface. There's even a robust snow flap reinforcement

The Info You Need
Within the main navigation, easily switch between map, vehicle, media and phone applications along with other features.
Pre-Loaded Trail Maps
Plan and track your route with US and Canadian maps that include gas stations, campgrounds, restaurants and more.
Change Map Views
Map views are layered so you can view topography, high-resolution BirdsEye Satellite Imagery, private/public lands and other valuable features.
Talk To The Group
Use Group Ride Radio to communicate with other users through 2-way voice or text, all without cellular coverage. You can even see and track up to 20 riders at once.
Connect Your Smartphone
Pair your mobile device to receive smart notifications, access the dial pad, view contacts, receive live weather forecasts, look at the radar and even play music.
Keep Yourself Planted
Twin Rail Suspension
The twin rail braced suspension is built for one thing: carving and climbing with control. With two braced rails, it delivers a solid, predictable feel that keeps the track straight and the power locked in — even when the hill gets rutted, windblown or near vertical. Compared to single rail setups, it’s less flickable but more planted — perfect for riders who’d rather hold the line than play around it.
Optimized For Deep Snow
AWS 36 Front Suspension
The AWS 36 Front Suspension was designed specifically with the 858 in mind. With lightweight spindles and precision engineered geometry, this suspension system optimizes your performance in deep snow.
Increased Durability
Arctic Cat Mountain Belt Drive
The CATALYST platform utilizes Arctic Cat's belt drive system rather than a chain drive. This allows for enhanced durability and fewer parts in the system. The adjustable center distance allows for multiple ratio options and makes servicing simple.
Additionally, the track included with the AC Mountain Belt Drive ensures that the sled gets up on the snow quicker, avoiding trenching issues.
Quickly Connect
Atach Latching System
Adding accessories to your sled is a snap with this 4-point latching system. You can install and remove accessories in seconds, so no matter where you are, you can customize your sled with ease.
Smooth Power Delivery
Adapt Cvt System
With its lightweight, narrow design that increases performance and belt life, as well as the industry's only self-adjusting clutch, the ADAPTT™ CVT system provides better throttle response, smoother power delivery and a ride like no other.
Unprecedented Traction
Power Claw Track
Unlock the backcountry with Power Claw™, a lightweight track that delivers the ultimate deep snow traction and performance. The staggered, forward curving paddle tower design won't fold over, allowing you to float over the deepest snow. Available in 146-in, 154-in and 165-in with 2.6-in or 3.0-in lugs.
Brighten Any Ride
Asymmetrical Led Headlight
A premium LED headlight is crucial to optimize your visibility. Equipped with both high and low-beams, this headlight casts an LED light pattern with great range and width. Plus, with its unique asymmetrical design, everyone will know that you're on an Arctic Cat.
